Bike
With over 55 miles of pathways within Reston and with nearby access to the W&OD trail, getting to work on two wheels is a great option if you work close by. Lincoln at Wiehle Station has on-site bike storage and a Fixit station so that your bike will always be safe, well maintained, and ready for your next ride to the office.
And if you don’t have a bike, over 15 Capital Bikeshare stations are dispersed throughout Reston, making it easy to rent a bike on the go. Renting a Capital Bikeshare bike is simple and affordable, as all rides under 30 minutes are entirely free.

Fairfax Connector (Fairfax Connector serves RIBS routes)
Lincoln at Wiehle Station is served by numerous affordable bus routes that connect you to points throughout your immediate community in Reston and beyond. All RIBS one-way rides are $1.60, and Fairfax Connector and Metrobus rides are only $2.00 per trip. Rides are often free or discounted when connecting to another bus or hopping on the Metro after your ride.

Taking the Metro to work is a great way to avoid traffic while also decreasing stress from driving. Wiehle-Reston East Station on the Silver Line is located just a couple minutes’ walk away from Lincoln at Wiehle Station, unlocking areas in the Greater DC Area such as Tysons, Arlington, and parts of D.C.
Carpool
Carpooling offers many benefits: It can dramatically cut your commute costs, reduces wear and tear on your car, and can help alleviate the stress of driving. But we do know COVID-19 can complicate your typical carpool plans. The good news is there are many ways to keep yourself and your carpool members safer, even with the spread of COVID-19. Carpooling can still be a great, safe commute option that is more accessible than other commute modes like transit, driving alone or biking. Carpooling is a convenient and affordable commute option for getting around Northern Virginia. It also lets you take advantage of the HOV Lanes on the Dulles Toll Road and allows you to ride for free on I-66 Inside the Beltway and ExpressLanes on I-395, I-495, and I-95.
